Wonderful Weather!

It was a lovely day at Earls Hall today. The morning started with Mrs Bowden leading the children in KS1 through another singing assembly and later on Mrs Joyce took assembly in KS2 where she focused on the achievements of the commonwealth games.

Later in the morning the children in Year Three wrote acrostic poems about different types of weather and were then challenged to perform them using different types of expression. The children worked in groups and performed their work beautifully!

In Year Two the children were learning about how seeds disperse by making their own paper versions and testing them to see them fall and land on the ground having spun through the air.

At lunchtime the beautiful weather meant that the children enjoyed the full use of the field, including the climbing equipment, and Mr smith led a game of rounders whilst Mrs Warren-Hardy served up her delicious sausages. As usual Mr B was joined by a group of children at the round table who had been spotted demonstrating excellent midday manners.

In the afternoon Mr B enjoyed listening to readers in his office from Dormice before Mrs Smoothy hosted her KS1 girls football club where the children demonstrated some great foot work!
