There was another chance to celebrate tremendous talent in school today as the children were entertained by one of our very own pupils in assembly. Georgie from Year Five will soon be performing to crowds as part of a nationwide show being held in Chigwell in a few weeks time and so today wowed the children in both assemblies with an exclusive preview of his act.

Georgie, who is one of only ten acts from across the country to be on the billing for the event, danced a Michael Jackson inspired routine which he had choreographed himself based on the moves in the singers famous videos. For a full eleven minutes he dazzled the children with a series of complicated moves and at the end of the routine was given a heartfelt round of applause for his efforts. Well done Georgie for sharing your exceptional moves with us, we are proud of you!

Later in the day, the children in Robins enjoyed a great library session where they even scanned out their own books whilst the children in Kites continued their work based around the theme of the Stone Age. Based on reading the text ‘How to wash a Woolly Mammoth’, the class identified what imperative verbs they would need when instructing someone how to wash something so the children had a go at washing some plastic toys using water and sponges.  They discussed which ‘bossy’ words they were using and wrote down instructional sentences, each starting with an imperative verb.

Lunchtime saw our focus on improving and maintaining good manners continue as Mr B, Mrs Geach and the whole Year Four team joined the children for lunch.
