It was an exciting day for lots of children in Year Six today as they ventured out of school to take part in a residential trip to Stratford Upon Avon.
The day started with the children travelling to The World of Harry Potter where the children were treated to a behind the scenes experience of the famous films. The children saw the sets up close, were amazed by an array of special effects and costumes and even had a go at flying! Some children treated themselves to butterbeers whilst others enjoyed exploring the Knight bus and the Hogwarts Express. It was a fantastic start to the trip which everyone enjoyed.
Later in the day the children spent time at the Stratford youth Hostel where they enjoyed a fabulous dinner before spending time playing games on the grass and even socialising with some Spanish primary aged children who were visiting the centre. After dinner it was back to the hotel where the children explored their rooms before settling down for the night, ready for another jam packed day in the morning.
Meanwhile, back in school, the children in the Foundation Stage enjoyed a trip of their own as each class visited the Forum library. The children took part in a word and book hunt as a way of exploring the library, found out how a library works and enjoyed a story session with Toby who works there. Thanks Toby for having us.
