There was an electric atmosphere at Earls Hall today as the classes right across the school continued preparing for Thursdays exciting ‘Economic Wellbeing Fair’ which this year is centred around a carnival theme. Children worked in teams in order to make sure that all roles in preparing for the fair were covered. Some children created the attractions stalls whilst others made props for the games. Some children created eye catching posters advertising their attraction whilst others choreographed dance routines and composed jingles to sing in the hope that their songs would attract customers. Each and every room was a hive of activity and you could smell the team spirit in the air!
Meanwhile, down in the Foundation Stage, there was even more excitement! When the children from Robins, Dormice and Hedgehogs arrived for school this morning they were greeted by the sight of an incubator housing seven eggs! The teachers explained that the eggs, once hatched, would reveal ducklings which they would then look after until the end of term. The ducklings, once fully grown, will then live in the new duck enclosure which is currently being built at the front of the school. It is thought that the eggs will begin to hatch in a matter of days so the sense of anticipation was high!
