It was another full day of fun at Earls Hall today! The morning began with the children in the KS1 assembly taking part in a singing assembly with Mr B on his trusty guitar. A number of volunteers helped by leading the singing and actions at the front of the hall as the children sang some of their favourite songs.
Throughout the day more children joined Mrs Cox and Mrs Timpson as they looked after the farm animals. Today saw one group take on the job of cleaning out the chicken coop; a key responsibility needed to be carried out on a weekly basis, and the children loved helping out! Later a group of well behaved children were chosen to take Mabel, the school puppy, for a walk. Mabel is still learning the expectations of a walk so the children acted really sensibly in order to help her stay calm. Well done to all of the children, we are proud of you!
Meanwhile, in the Forest Room, the first ‘Rock Steady Workshop’ took place where the children were joined by Gordon the new rock teacher. The sound of electric guitars, keyboards, and drums mixed with vocals echoed down the corridor.
Outside on the playground 6J continued with their Bikeability course which this afternoon saw some of the children take to the local roads whilst inside, in Year Two, the bicycle theme continued as the children used charcoal to create some stunning pictures of Mrs Armitage’s bike. After school the first of the terms KS1 ‘Reptile Clubs’ took place where the children loved getting up close and personal with the animals.
