It was a special day for our lovely Year Six pupils today as they took to the stage for one final time in order to perform their leavers production of ‘Mary Poppins’. The children performed twice, in the afternoon and evening, and the production saw the upstairs hall jam packed with proud parents and other family members who were all in for a treat!
The children sang, danced and acted their way through the story and amazed the audience with their confident performances. There were group dances and singing solos to enjoy and the end of the show saw an emotional performance of ‘This is Me’; a firm favourite which the children sang with great gusto!
It really was a magnificent and fitting way to end their time at Earls Hall and there was a great sense of pride in the hall by the end of the production. Well done children, we are incredibly proud of you!
Earlier in the day, the children in the Foundation Stage continued to investigate life cycles. Throughout the day they bathed the ducklings and also released the butterflies which they had watched develop from caterpillars over the last couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, also outside, the children in Year Two and Year Three enjoyed a fantastic picnic together as part of the transition process. It was an opportunity for the children in Year Two to get to know some of the older children who they will be sharing a playground with in September and a great time was had by all.
