It was a wonderful start to a brand new year, and indeed decade, at Earls Hall! The morning began with our assemblies focusing on the excitement of New Year and various different resolutions people in our community may choose. Mr B explained about how a resolution is a way to make better life choices and gave some examples before some of the children shared some of their own resolutions. Some children decided to save their money whilst others decided they would be more active or take more time to talk, rather than message, those dear to them.
Later in the day the children in the Foundation Stage enjoyed their first ‘Forest Friends’ sessions of 2020 where they enjoyed exploring the woods, played in the mud kitchen, built small dens and recreated some of their own miniature, non lit, camp fires.
Upstairs in Kestrels the children worked with Mrs Crouch to order light snacks in French whilst the children in Hawks enjoyed some quality reading for pleasure time in the KS2 library.
After school Miss Cracknell hosted the first of her new ‘Streetdance Clubs’ in the downstairs hall whilst Mrs Heard was joined by a host of children from KS1 at Story Construction Club.
