It was a day full of carols today at Earls Hall! In the morning a group of children from across KS1 represented the school by venturing out of school and visiting the residents of Frank Philips House and singing them a series of carols and Christmas songs. The children entertained the residents beautifully and were each rewarded with a gift from the staff. Thank you to all of the residents for welcoming us into your home and well done to the children, we are proud of you.
In the morning assemblies there were plenty of celebrations as both Mr B and Miss Ellacott presented the PTA prizes for the jolly jars and chocolate competitions at the Christmas Fair. The children from the winning classes were presented with selection boxes and sweet assortments and will each have an extra playtime on Thursday.
In the evening the playground was full of families as the community came together for our annual ‘Carols Around the Tree’ celebration. The Southend Band once again provided brass entertainment, children took turns to conduct and there was even snow (from the snow machine) at the end of the evening! Thank you to everyone who came along to join in with the festive fun!
