It was an amazing end to another week at Earls Hall on the sporting front as our basketball team triumphed at the Southend tournament finals! The team beat Westborough 4.0, Chalkwell 6.0 and Bournes green 4.0 meaning that remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. The teams success means that the school have won two borough tournaments in a matter of days following the win at the dodgeball tournament on Wednesday. Well done to all of the children, we are proud of you!
There was even more pride on display today as two ‘AOK Club’ missions took place outside of school. In the morning Mrs Crouch accompanied a group of children from Kites as they ventured down to Earls Hall Baptist church in order to help wash the toys that the children in the pre-school use on a daily basis. The children worked in teams in order to make the scooters sine and gleam and Mrs Crouch was delighted to present them with their special badges in recognition of their kindness back at school.
In the afternoon Mr B accompanied a group of children from Oak as they visited Frank Phillips House in order to play games with the residents. The children demonstrated amazing manners whilst playing alongside the residents: explaining the rules to the games and talking clearly and politely throughout their visit. Mr B had a lump in his throat whist watching the two generations interact and he was proud to present the children with their special badges back in school.
There was more pride in our two simultaneous ‘Celebration Assemblies’ which we held this morning as Mr B and Mrs Creak presented children from each class with our ‘Earls Hall Stars’ certificates for individual efforts and achievements. Well done children we are proud of you!
