It was a fantastic day at Earls Hall today as the children and staff celebrated a belated ‘World Book Day’. The children couldn’t celebrate the day as planned last Thursday due to the snow causing the school to close but today the wonderful world of books was celebrated in style!
Children from across all the classes came to school dressed to impress, donning costumes to transform them into a range of brilliant characters. There were princesses, fairy tale characters as well as villains and other heroes.
The children celebrated their favourite stories both in assembly and by taking part in a host of book themed activities in class and a great time was enjoyed by all. Thanks, as always, to all of our lovely families for supporting the day by sending the children into school dressed so spectacularly.
Later, at the end of the day, the children in Woodpeckers were joined by a hall full of proud parents who came to watch them perform their very own version of ‘Circle of Life’ from ‘The Lion King’. The children danced their own choreographed routine. Well done to all of the dancers, we are proud of you.
