It was a day full of nostalgia as we continued to celebrate our 80th anniversary in style! Throughout the day we welcomed more former pupils and staff members to the school where Mr B took them on tours of the building, introduced them to the children to hear all about life at Earls Hall today and gave them the opportunity to reminisce about their time at the school.
In the morning the tour saw us joined by living Earls Hall legends; Mr Spence and Mrs Bennett. Mr Spence was Deputy to Mr Shaw, leaving the school at the end of the 80’s before returning to the school in his current role of a governor. Mrs Bennett taught at the school between 1982 and 2008 and added lots of memories about her former pupils when taking part in the tour. It was a morning full of nostalgia, culminating in a group photograph being taken on the stage. Thanks so much to everyone who came along to join in with the fun.
Later in the day the upstairs hall was full of parents and children from Year Six who were all eager to find out more information about the Stratford Upon Avon residential trip. Mrs Creak talked through the plans for the trip and the powerpoint will be uploaded with the information at the weekend for those who could not make it.
In the evening Mr B conducted another tour for former pupils. Guests attended the school from a range of eras including one gentleman who attended when the school opened in 1938! Mr B was supported by our Vice Chair of governors, Mrs Ham, and the guests shared many fun memories about their time at Earls Hall. Thanks to everyone who came along for a trip down memory lane!
