The week continued to be a full and eventful one at Earls Hall! The morning started with Mrs Critoph leading the KS1 assembly which started with a group of children from Year Two talking to the children about ways they had identified to stay a=safe around the school. The girls had asked if they could share their tips, well done we are proud of you. #
Later in the morning the children in Willow calculated how to multiply and divide fractions whilst the children in Hedgehogs enjoyed a fun library session.
As the morning progressed, a group of children from Badgers joined Mr B in order to take part in our latest ‘AOK Club’ mission! The children met Sue Sparkle from the council to take part in the ‘Make Southend Sparkle’ event. The event centred around the Forum library where the children, armed with pickers, collected as much litter as they could in an hour. The children worked really hard and were praised by the council team for their efforts. Mr B was proud to present the children with their special badges back in school in recognition of their kindness. Well done children, we are proud of you!
In the afternoon the field was full of footballers as a team of our boys were joined by their counterparts from West Leigh Junior School and Chalkwell Junior School for a friendly tournament. The tournament gave children who had not represented the school at matches before the opportunity to don the Earls Hall strip and a great time was had by all. Well done to all of the team, we are proud of you.
