Mother Nature Mobiles!

wdy 11

With the weather looking very Autumnal, the children in Year Two enjoyed a fantastic and creative session of Forest Friends out of the front of the school.

Throughout the session the children collected a series of leaves and twigs from the wooded area and then foraged in the Cabin for other items such as cones and conkers. They worked independently to tie knots in string and twine and then used the drill to create holes in the items before threading them on to create beautiful natural mobiles.

Meanwhile a group of children from Year Five and Six represented the school at the inter-schools Tag Rugby tournament. The children displayed great team work skills, playing tough matches against a series of other local schools, and came a respectable fifth in the competition. Well done to all of the children who took part, we are proud of you!
