It was another great day at Earls Hall which started with a visit from our friend Katie Stanton from Earls Hall Baptist Church. Katies assembly focused on the qualities of love, patience and kindness and how to find those qualities in others.
Later in the day the children in Elm used the playground to develop their cycling skills by taking part in a ‘Bikeability’ session. The children learnt how to check that their bicycles were safe before developing their ability to move around under instruction.
At lunchtime the dining hall saw a number of the team join the children for lunch. Mr Cann and Mr Martin ate their lunches at the childrens tables whilst Mrs Chapman, Miss Ellacott, Mrs Hewitt and Mr B were all joined on the centre table by children who they had spotted displaying excellent manners. Well done to all of the children chosen, we are proud of you.
In the afternoon Mr B was assisted by children from Years Five and Six who were identified as positive reading role models. The boys listened to a number of children from Year One read and gave them positive feedback on their effort. Well done to both the role models and the readers, we are proud of you.
After school there was a meeting of the full governing body. At the meeting Mr Stanton was reelected as the Chair for another year alongside Mr White and Mrs Ham as Vice Chairs. Mr B detailed the main priorities for school improvement for the year ahead, non-pupil days were agreed for the academic year 19/20- which will be shared with parents tomorrow, and the governors heard about the performance in school so far.
