As we headed towards the end of term, the excitement levels in school reached fever pitch! More children from the Foundation Stage and KS1 spent time in the Forest Friends area enjoying camp fire sessions. The children sang Christmas songs and enjoyed hot chocolate with marshmallows.
At lunchtime it was the most important lunch of the whole school year as Mrs warren-Hardy and her merry crew of cooks prepared and served a delicious Christmas lunch for the whole school. Mrs warren-Hardy was in school at 6.30am in order to make sure everything was ready for the children and staff to enjoy and so, when lunch began, the children enjoyed roast turkey with all the trimmings accompanied to Christmas hits in the background. The PTA donated crackers and a great time was had by all. Thank you to Mrs Warren-Hardy and all of her cooks. The children showed their appreciation for the meal by giving the ladies a hearty three cheers; thoroughly deserved!
In the afternoon, and after school, the upstairs hall was transformed into a disco as the children in KS2 partied away to the sounds of Micky B and his wheels of steel! The children took part in dancing competitions and games and everyone enjoyed themselves. Thanks, as always, to Micky for giving us his time.
