The second day of the new term saw us hold the first ‘Celebration Assemblies’ of 2019. In the assemblies both Mr B and Mr Geach reminded the children about the need for positive behaviour choices in school, in return earning tallies which contribute towards the house points given every Friday. Last term Norfolk earned the most points and,as a reward for their positive behaviour, will enjoy an extra playtime next week. Norfolk got off to a flying start this term too leading the new terms total by 20 points! Well done children, we are proud of you!
Also in the assembly, the children were told which year group ended the Autumn term with the highest attendance, earning them fun swim sessions as a reward. Well done to the children in Year Three who were top of the attendance leaderboard! Well done children, we are proud of you! The assembly also saw us present ‘Earls Hall Stars’ and Times Table Rockstars certificates for individual achievement. Well done children, we are proud of you!
In the afternoon the children in Year Two investigated the work of the artist Henri Matisse, particularly the piece ‘The Snail’ whilst the children in Year Three developed their ability to ask for snacks in French. In Willow the children investigated the difference between weight and mass whilst Mr B enjoyed listening to children from Owls read in his office.
