Bunny & Birthdays!

bunny 13

It was an eventful end to the week, and indeed term, at Earls Hall.

The morning started with the children in Aspen being surprised by the Easter Bunny as they enjoyed breakfast. Our floppy eared friend presented Mr Brasted with eggs for each and every child before hopping away and leaving the class to their adventures which included the exciting mud slide!

Back in school there was a surprise in store for Mr B as he arrived back at Earls Hall having slept at Wat Tyler. As it is Mr B’s 40th birthday in the Easter holidays the children and staff in Foundation and KS1 surprised him by throwing him a special ‘This is your Life’ assembly! All the children had made hats that they thought Mr B would like which were mainly themed around Dr Who, cake and Christmas and there were special guests who appeared including people he had loved working with such as Miss McGaw, Mrs Weidner, Mrs Bass, Mrs Brown and even Mrs Dellow and Mrs Hunter as well as his very own Mum and Dad. Mr Geach led the assembly where he shared clips of Mr B as a child with the children before they presented him with a very special card.  It was a smashing surprise, thank you to everyone who made such a special effort.

In the afternoon there was more excitement as the Easter Bunny made his annual appearance and visited all of the classes. Assisted by Mrs Rick and Mrs Haynes, the bunny gave eggs to al of the children before hopping away for another year. Thank you to the PTA for supplying our fluffy tailed friend with the eggs.
