It was a great start to the week at Earls Hall. The morning started with the children in KS1 enjoying the joys of singing in assembly. Mr B got out his trusty guitar and the children sang ‘Clap Your Hands, Wiggle Your Feet’; a song all about spreading love around. Volunteers were chosen from the hall to help Mrs Fraser lead actions whilst singing.
Later in the day all of the children from the Foundation Stage enjoyed both a’Forest Friends’ and library session whilst the children in Elm continued to create their own underwater creature out of felt by stitching their designs.
In the afternoon Mr B and Mrs Burrell took a group of children from Beech out of school for the first ‘AOK Club’ mission of the year. The children visited Fairview Residential Home, just round the corner from school, where they played games with the residents, completed colouring pages alongside them and read passages from their reading books to them. It was a fantastic first mission which saw the children all behave impeccably throughout the afternoon. Mr B was extremely proud to present the children with their special badges in recognition of their kindness when they returned to school. Well done children, we are proud of you.
After school Mr Dorn was joined by a team of children as they took part in a friendly table tennis tournament against a team from Chalkwell Junior School. The teams were made up of children who are not members of table tennis schools but are keen players and great fun was had by all. Earls Hall won the tournament. Well done to all of the children who took part, we are proud of you.
